Sorry these pictures are so blurry, we took them off of the TV. We had planned on going to the parade, but thought it was this coming Sat. so we don't have any real photos, but the Chinese New Year's Parade is one of the most fun and colorful parades you can go to. These kids are wearing red envelopes. Chinese New year is kind of like the "Christmas" holidays are for us. They give their friends and relatives these red envelopes, the real ones of course are small, and they put money in them.

One of the floats, most of them are sponsored by companies. Southwest Airlines is the main sponsor.

The Golden Dragon at the end of the parade.

The Dragon in SF is 238 feet long. If we are still here next year, some of you are going to have to come and see it! There are a lot of crazy firecrackers and dancing Chinese lions.

I saw a lot of coverage on the national news about the chinese new year! That would be a blast to see the parade in person!
Looks like fun, next year you'll have to fight the masses to see the real thing!
